Paris Hilton released from jail
Paris Hilton was set free today from prison after serving half of her six weeks sentence. She was released early due to her good behaviour, the usual reduction in such cases….just to let you all know that there was no golden handshake involved.
There was hysterical scenes reminiscent of an Oscars red carpet rather than the release of a woman jailed for violating her drink-driving probation. Regardless of what Paris is doing, she also manages to draw a crowd.
She ran to mum and dad who were waiting for her outside at around 12:15am, they then drove to her grandmothers mansion in posh Holmby Hills. She spent night there behind gates while more than a dozen cars entered at exited the mansion to give her a warm welcome home.
Paris is expected to speak to CNN’s Larry King tomorrow about her ordeal. We all know what she is going to say but lets see if she acts on it. Let’s see if she becomes a spokeswoman for the UN and adopts a few kids from a third world country.
Dinah and Michael Lohan’s bitter divorce
Lindsay Lohan’s parents, Michael and Dina Lohan traded insults at their divorce hearing at the weekend. During proceedings Dina accused Michael of breaching their separation agreement by speaking to the media. Michael meanwhile claimed he is owed money from Dina, as agreed in the pact.
The row carried on outside, with Michael clashing with Dina’s “security guard” Ty Dux, reports TMZ.com. The pair exchanged insults, with Dux claiming Lohan family members are scared of Michael and “didn’t sleep at night, even when he was in jail”.
Prince William & Kate Middleton back together
After dating for five years Prince William and Kate Middleton split in April. According to British newspapers the couple has reunited. The pair reportedly attended a party at William’s army barracks earlier this month.
William has also allegedly invited Middleton to a concert held in memory of his mother, Princess Diana. The newspapers are also reporting that William and Middleton, both 25, kissed on June 9 at the army party. Middleton is also set to spend time with William, his brother Harry and Harry’s girlfriend, Chelsy Davy backstage at the memorial concert.
A spokeswoman for Prince William refused to comment on the claims saying: “We don’t discuss William’s private life, it’s a matter for him.”
Paris’ merc gets repossessed
Paris Hilton’s car has been repossessed after she failed to make the last two payments, it has been reported. The hotel heiress will be shocked to learn that her Mercedes - allegedly worth a staggering $500,000 - has been towed away.
A source at the recovery lot told New Weekly: “When we learned it was Paris’ car, we were shocked. She must have been so distracted with everything else, she forgot to pay her bills!” Meanwhile, Paris has been invited to pose for Playboy - but her mother Kathy won’t agree to it.
Britney to get restraining order against her mum
Things ain’t getting any better for Britney Spears as she is considering filing a restraining order against her mum. X17online reported that the singer/actress was said to have visited her lawyer earlier this week to speak to him about the possible options.
Britney has been angry with Lynne since she made her check into rehab to seek help for her alleged alcohol addiction and post-natal depression earlier this year. Lynne also reportedly sided with Britney’s estranged husband Kevin Federline during the couple’s custody battle.
Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal end their secret relationship
We haven’t heard much about this couple but apparently its over now. Reese and Jake started dating in March. They met on the movie set of ‘Rendition.’
The source told Us Weekly: “She has either called it off or is just taking a break.”
“She cares for Jake, but the timing is crappy. She doesn’t have enough emotional space for him right now.”
It’s Hollywood, when is the timing ever right.
Spice Girls sign reunion deal worth $20m each
The Spice Girls are back for one last tour and they’ll be racking in a staggering $20m each.
According to the Mirror, details of the 25-date world tour and Greatest Hits album release will be officially confirmed next week but an inside source told the newspaper that the five women will each earn $20million from the “final goodbye“.
The concerts will take place from December until the end of January, starting in London: “The UK is the girls’ home so that’s where they’ll start. And the band still have a huge following in Japan so naturally they’ll be playing there.”
“But venues like Shanghai are on the list because they want to reach as many Spice fans around the globe as they can manage.”
“They feel they didn’t get to say goodbye properly when they split.”
The Spice Girls have all become mums except for Sporty who we’ve always questioned anyway. Will be good to see what they’ve still got as I’m pretty sure there are alot of Spice fans out there and I’m not one of them.
Paris to get $1m for her story
Paris Hilton will be getting $1m to talk about her experience in jail on the Today Show.
NBC, the American network behind the top-rating breakfast show, has reportedly agreed to pay “as much as $US1 million” for an exclusive television interview with Hilton about her time behind bars, The New York Post said yesterday.
She has obviously agreed to this and who wouldn’t but will only speak to female presenter Meredith Vieira. Paris has refused to speak to her co-host Matt Lauer after comments he made about her. I know another person that Paris will not be speaking to when she gets out……thats right Sarah Silverman, after her remarks at the MTV Awards 2007.
So if you have nothing better to do on Tuesday, tune into the Today Show and witness the so called new Paris.
