Topless pictures of Zhang Ziyi cause outrage in China
Topless photos of Zhang Ziyi on the beach in St Barts with her Israeli millionaire fiance Vivo Nevo hit the Internet earlier this week. The photos appeared on numerous Chinese websites and the first appeared on Monday the same day the Chinese government sent out warnings to 19 top websites over issues of pornography and vulgarity.
The pictures were not up long as the website operators removed the pictures and even removed the comments to prevent breaking the law. Some of the comments that were deleted expressed anger and said that Zhang Ziyi was a shame to China.
‘Her figure is really poor and she really showed off her weaknesses. She should be more considerate towards the sentiments of the public,’ one netizen wrote.
‘What a disgrace to the Chinese people,’ said another.
However not all were against the beautiful actress, one netizen wrote,
‘It is very normal for Western magazines to shoot actresses sunbathing nude on beaches. Zhang is not the first. She is just the first Chinese actress.’
