Tom Cruise spends $15 million for Katie to stay in New York
It has been reported that Katie Holmes spent $15 million during her stay in New York and all of that has come out of Tom’s pocket.
Katie Holmes moved to New York last summer to appear in a new production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, which opened in September.
According to the New York Post, Tom has bought three apartments in the same building for Katie and their staff to live in, and also to give their two year old daughter Suri space to play.
Also with Tom in Los Angeles and Katie in New York flights back to Los Angeles have become more frequent boosting her expenses plus extra security staff has been provided as Katie moves about in the city and also adding to the expenses is the shopping that she has been doing whilst in New York.
The source said: “Katie’s been working hard but she’s been spending hard too. She has been valiantly doing her bit to boost our economy.
“Heading back and forth to the theatre, she’s been on show more than she would be in Los Angeles so she’s had to make sure her wardrobe is up to scratch.
“Suri’s also starting to get excited about clothes so they buy a lot for her too.”
Well doesn’t look like the credit crunch has hurt Tom much!
Beckham’s join the Cruises for Thanksgiving Celebrations
The Cruises were among the first to welcome the Beckham clan to America, but for more than five months the two families have not been photographed together.
But any rift between Hollywood’s biggest celebrity families appears to be healed as the couples celebrated Thanksgiving eve.
David and Victoria Beckham and their three sons were pictured with Tom Cruise and his older children Connor and Isabella.
Tom’s wife Katie Holmes and their two-year-old daughter Suri were absent from the gathering.
But after meeting Tom in downtown New York the Beckhams left their sons with a babysitter while they went to watch Katie in her hit Broadway play All My Sons.
Along the way David gallantly stepped in to help up a female photographer who had fallen over while walking backwards to take the couple’s photo.
Victoria, stylishly dressed in a close-fitting pencil-skirted dress, waited patiently as her husband assisted the woman.
Later, the whole clan - Katie included - headed off for dinner at Il Cantinori.
After initially being pictured constantly together - be it shopping, eating out or publicly supporting each other’s work - the relationship between the two families apparently soured.
This was rumoured to be because the Beckhams had refused to consider joining the Scientology religion - a subject close to Tom’s heart.
There were also reports Katie and Victoria were caught up in a feud over a Vogue front cover.
The fashionable friends apparently fell out after the former Dawson’s Creek actress became jealous after Posh was asked to appear on the front cover of the top magazine.

The former ‘Dawson’s Creek’ actress says being married to Tom Cruise and
becoming a mother to their 22-month-old daughter Suri has completed her and

Rumors about a possible second pregnancy for Katie Holmes have been flying after it was reported that the actress has recently her assistant order twelve baby blankets, six in “petal pink” and six in “ocean blue” from the website robbieadrian.com. Keeping in mind that they could be a gift for an expecting friend (Jennifer Lopez, perhaps?) we’re not sure if we believe all the fuss ourselves.
Additionally, a source close to Katie says she is not expecting.”

Led by megastar Tom Cruise, his wife Katie Holmes, Sienna Miller and Ellen DeGeneres, the stars paid tribute to the 28-year-old Oscar nominee on the lot of Sony studios in Los Angeles.
Lindsay Lohan, Josh Harnett , Shannyn Sossamon and British supermodel Lily Cole were among the high profile stars photographed arriving at the ceremony.
Singer Ben Harper performed at the hour long service, and Neil Young’s Old Man played as a slide show was played. Director Todd Haynes, who directed Ledger in last year’s Bob Dylan film, I’m Not There, spoke at the ceremony.
The ceremony follows a private family memorial a week earlier, which was also attended by Michelle Williams, Ledger’s former fiancee and mother of his two-year-old daughter Matilda, and another ex-girlfriend Naomi Watts.
It is expected that Ledger’s family will return to their hometown of Perth with his body early this week.
