Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal ready to marry?
Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have been an official, and very cute, item since October 2007 and now friends of the couple are saying that a marriage proposal could be on the cards before long.
A source close to Reese told OK, “They’ve been talking marriage for a while. They’ll be formally engaged any day now. They want to spend the rest of their lives together.”
Out for dinner earlier this month at Hornimy Grill in Charleston, South Carolina, the couple were totally absorbed in one another.
The restaurant’s manager, Brandy Mangum, commented, “They couldn’t keep their eyes off each other. “The entire time, he was so attentive. It was really sweet. They really do make the perfect couple.”
In line with Reese’s traditional values, the source close to the actress said she would not expect the couple to move in together or start a family until they are married.
She explained, “This is a very serious relationship. But Reese is very conservative and traditional. I’m sure she doesn’t want her kids to see her ‘living in sin.’”
Despite these rumours, Jake’s representatives deny that there are any plans for a wedding and Reese’s representative had no comment on the matter.
Ryan Phillippe unhappy with Jake Gyllenhaal
Reese Witherspoon’s new relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal is reportedly causing tensions between her and ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.
Sources close to Ryan have told OK magazine that the Crash star is annoyed by how much time the former couple’s children - eight year old Ava and three year old Deacon - are spending with Jake. The source explained that Deacon is a particular fan of the Brokeback Mountain star and whenever the kids are handed back to Ryan, Deacon can’t stop talking about him: “It’s ‘Jake did this’, ‘Jake brought Mommy flowers and coffee’, ‘Jake says we should recycle’.”
“Ryan called Reese and suggested she stop letting [Jake] spend so much time with the kids. He was pretty irate on the phone.”
“[But] Reese barely let him finish the sentence before she shot back that what she does with her personal life is her business.”
Jake has been spotted with Reese and the children on a number of occasions - but the children have also been spotted shopping with Ryan’s rumoured girlfriend Abbie Cornish.

We haven’t heard much about this couple but apparently its over now. Reese and Jake started dating in March. They met on the movie set of ‘Rendition.’
The source told Us Weekly: “She has either called it off or is just taking a break.”
“She cares for Jake, but the timing is crappy. She doesn’t have enough emotional space for him right now.”
It’s Hollywood, when is the timing ever right.

We were not sure if Jake and Reese were still dating until they were both snapped leaving a friends house in separate cars and heading back to Reese’s house in Brentwood.
Reese is working on a new project,a remake of the 1939 comedy ‘Midnight.’ It is about a showgirl enlisted by a man to lure away his wife’s lover. No word on who’s the male lead, but we think Jake would be perfect!
